This is the explanation of one of the numeric systems of The Cogi. This is heavily centered on the naming.
Part 1: why the first numbers of the Cogi are named like that
1 The system is positional (the same symbol in different place is a different quantity).
2 The numbers are in decimal base (9 plus a zero).
3 The names are generated (except exceptions) by writing the first letter of the alphabet and continuing (standard Latin alphabet of 26 letters).
4 The second letter of the name is a vowel from (a, e, i, o, u) starting with a. Except when the first letter is a bowel. In this case the second letter can be a bowel or a consonant.
